AI visibility: how Creapp sites get found in AI answers

Last updated: September 25, 2026

More and more people ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot or Google’s AI Overviews instead of scrolling through search results. Answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) are about making sure those assistants can find a website, understand it, and use it as a source.

Most of it is good SEO, done carefully — with a few differences in how AI crawlers read pages and which signals they weigh. Here are the principles, and how every site built with Creapp follows them from the moment it is published.

  1. 1AI crawlers must be able to read your content

    The principle

Google renders JavaScript, but most AI crawlers — including OpenAI's GPTBot, Anthropic's ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot — fetch pages without running it. Content that only appears after scripts run can be invisible to them.

    In every Creapp site

Every published page is complete, plain HTML. Your menu, services, prices and contact details are in the page itself, readable by any crawler.

  2. 2Let AI search bots in

    The principle

AI companies run separate bots for answering questions (OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot) and for training models (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended). Blocking a search bot keeps a site out of that assistant’s answers.

    In every Creapp site

Every site gets its own robots.txt that welcomes search engines and AI crawlers and points them to the sitemap.

  3. 3Say who you are in a machine-readable way

    The principle

Structured data (schema.org JSON-LD) states the key facts — what kind of business, its name, phone, address and profiles — so machines don’t have to guess them from the layout. Google asks that it matches what visitors see on the page.

    In every Creapp site

The home page of every site carries JSON-LD built from the owner’s own details: Restaurant, LocalBusiness, Person or Organization, with contact details, social profiles and, for restaurants, the menu page.

  4. 4Accurate, consistent facts

    The principle

AI assistants pull facts from many places. A made-up phone number or wrong opening hours confuses them and the people asking — and it costs trust.

    In every Creapp site

The generator is built to use only the details the owner provides: no placeholder phone numbers, addresses, hours or prices. A check before publishing flags leftovers like sample emails or phone numbers. The same facts feed the page, the structured data and llms.txt.

  5. 5One clear address and summary per page

    The principle

When the same page lives at several addresses, its signals split. Each page also needs a clear title and description that says what it is about.

    In every Creapp site

Every page gets a title, a meta description, social-sharing tags, a canonical tag and a clean URL (/menu, not /menu.html). When the owner connects their own domain, the canonical moves to it as soon as it is live.

  6. 6Help crawlers find every page

    The principle

A sitemap lists every page and when it last changed, so crawlers find new and updated content quickly. Fresh, current information matters for AI answers.

    In every Creapp site

Every publish writes a fresh sitemap.xml with the publish date.

  7. 7llms.txt — ready for what’s next

    The principle

llms.txt is a proposed standard: a short, plain-text summary of a site written for AI tools. Its value is still unproven. Google says no special AI files are needed, and none of the crawler guides from OpenAI, Anthropic or Perplexity says their bots read it.

    In every Creapp site

Because it costs nothing and never hurts, every site includes one, built from the same verified facts as everything else — including opening hours exactly as the owner wrote them.

  8. 8A Markdown version of every pageComing soon

    The principle

The llms.txt proposal also suggests a clean Markdown copy of each page (for example /menu.md), which is simpler for AI tools to read than a full web page.

    In every Creapp site

Coming soon to every Creapp site.

  9. 9What a website can’t do alone

    The principle

The strongest AI-visibility signals live off-site. In Ahrefs’ study of 75,000 brands, mentions of a brand across the web lined up with AI Overview visibility far more than backlinks did. Reviews, community discussions and business listings all count.

    In every Creapp site

Your Creapp site is the accurate source those mentions point back to. Please keep your Google Business Profile and Bing Places details the same as on your site.

Check it yourself

Open any Creapp site and add /robots.txt, /sitemap.xml or /llms.txt to its address. To see the structured data, paste the site’s address into Google’s Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator. Creapp itself follows the same rules — see creapp.dev/llms.txt.
